US gasoline prices continue to decline in the past two weeks

According to Xinhua News Agency, on August 24th, statistics released by Lundberg Research Company showed that due to the continued sharp decline in crude oil prices (93.82%, -0.06%, -0.06%), the price of gasoline per gallon in the United States has dropped by 4 cents in the past two weeks.

According to a survey conducted on August 22nd, the average price of regular gasoline in the United States has dropped to $3.48. The downward trend of gasoline prices in the United States has extended to 9 weeks.

Lundberg Research Company said that this is indeed a reflection of the crude oil market, and crude oil is by far the largest component of gasoline retail prices and the main factor determining the future direction of gasoline retail prices.

Compared to the same period last year, gasoline prices in the United States have decreased by 8 cents in the past two weeks.

Within the survey area, the San Francisco Bay Area has the highest regular gasoline price at $3.92 per gallon, while the Jackson area of Mississippi has the lowest regular gasoline price at $3.11 per gallon.
